During the Kargil War, Captain Saurabh Kalia and his five members’ patrol team were on a routine patrol of the Bajrang Post in the Kaksar sector of Ladakh . On May 15, 1999, they were captured by Pakistani forces in a treacherous act of aggression. Over the next twenty-two days, Captain Kalia and his team endured unimaginable torture at the hands of their captors. Despite immense suffering, they displayed immense resilience, determination, and unwavering love for their motherland.
