T20 WC 2022: Top Batters Who Smashed Most Sixes in Australia

England won the T20 World Cup 2022 after beating Pakistan by five wickets on Sunday at  MCG. 

T20 cricket is all about hitting huge sixes and boundaries all over the ground which is not a big deal if you’re playing on Asian grounds but smashing huge sixes on big Australian grounds is not everyone’s cup of tea. 

Most of the batters choose to accelerate the innings at the end of the innings during 15-20 overs. It is vice-versa on big grounds like MCG, SCG, Perth, etc.

One of the key reasons of England winning the T20 World Cup 2022 was utilizing the power-play conditions appropriately and trying to clear the boundaries in the first six overs.   

The risk factor of hitting sixes in powerplay is less due to the restriction of allowing the bowling side to keep only two fielders outside the thirty-yard circle. 

We saw in the semi-final match between India and England as well India did not score too many runs in the powerplay, resulting in losing the match poorly by 10 wickets. 

On the other hand, England openers Alex Hales and Jos Buttler played fearless cricket from the very first ball and led their team to win the tournament. 

One of the most iconic moments of the T20 WC 2022 is still the huge six smashed by leading run scorer Virat Kohli off Pakistan’s fast-furious bowler Haris Rauf.
