RCB ex-captain Kohli faced the issue because he was found guilty for a Level 1 breach under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. While the BCCI did not specify the exact nature of the offense, sources suggest that Kohli’s aggressive celebration after dismissing Shivam Dube led to the fine.

Hrithik Shokeen of Mumbai Indians was also fined for a similar offense during a verbal altercation with Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana.

CSK posted a massive score of 226/6 in their allotted 20 overs, with Devon Conway scoring 83 off 45 deliveries and Shivam Dube contributing a quickfire 52 off 27. Despite valiant efforts by RCB’s captain Faf du Plessis (66 off 33)and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36), the team fell short by just eight runs.

Looking ahead, Virat Kohli’s RCB will try to rebound from the loss in their upcoming match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, while CSK is all set to take on Rajasthan Royals in their next fixture.
